Brady and Bucs Rewards Fan For Giving Back 600th TD Ball

Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady made well on his promise on getting “something nice” for the fan who returned his 600th career touchdown ball that was thrown into the stands, or did he?

Evans giving Kennedy Brady’s 600th TD football

ESPN’s Jenna Laine writes that Byron Kennedy, who was sitting in the end zone when receiver Mike Evans tossed the record-breaking ball into the stands, will “receive two signed Brady jerseys, a helmet, another jersey autographed by Evans and Evans' game-worn cleats.” A team official was able to get the ball back from Kennedy later in the game.

"I got the ball back," Brady said on Peyton and Eli Manning’s simulcast during Monday Night Football. "There was a lot of negotiation in order to get the ball back."

Brady also told the Mannings that he “promised” Kennedy that he'd receive one Bitcoin, which had a value of more than $62,000 as of this morning. The Bucs will be providing a pair of season tickets to the lucky fan for the remainder of 2021, all of 2022 and a $1,000 credit to the official team store:

"Byron realized he lost all his leverage once he gave the ball away," Brady roasts. "He should have held it to get as much leverage as possible.

Many on social media agreed with this sentiment as the ball could be worth millions in the future. A big loss for the fan who said that he just wanted to play a round of golf with Brady. What would you have done? Is the gifts from Brady and Bucs enough to compensate the lost item? Sound off!
