Packers Place Davante Adams On COVID-19 List Ahead Of TNF Matchup

The Packers announced yesterday that they might be without their best wide receiver Davante Adams for their Thursday night matchup against the unbeaten Cardinals.

The team has placed Adams on the NFL's reserve/COVID-19 list, three days out from the big showdown in Arizona. The Packers however didn't confirm why it placed Adams on the list. It is not clear if he has been vaccinated. If Adams is indeed vaccinated and is asymptomatic, he would need two negative PCR tests 24 hours apart to play.

Adams has been by far Aaron Rodger’s best weapon tallying 744 yards and three touchdowns through the first seven games. Without him, the Packers will need another receiver to step up as the Cards will most likely look to stuff Aaron Jones. Cardinals’ defense has been opportunistic this season and currently ranks fourth in the league in total yards. They also announced yesterday that they've activated Pro Bowl linebacker Chandler Jones from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Thursday will be a good test of strength for both teams who sit at the top of their conference as they look to make a statement win.
