Titans Holds Bills On Fourth Down Call Late For The Win

The Titans outlast the Bills 34-31 on a controversial fourth-down call to end an exciting matchup on Monday Night Football.

Tennessee’s defense came up huge, stuffing Josh Allen’s sneak attempt on fourth-and-inches deep in the red zone with Bills trailing 34-31 and only 22 seconds remaining:

Derrick Henry had a monster night. This was his fifth straight game with at least 113 rushing yards, going for 143 yards and three touchdowns in only 20 attempts tonight. Tennessee scored on four of its last six drives, three of which were touchdowns while holding the Bills to zero in the fourth quarter. Ryan Tannehill completed 18 of 29 passes for 216 yards and an interception and rushed for a 4-yard touchdown. A.J. Brown who was dealing with injury led the team in receiving yards (seven receptions, 91 yards).

Allen completed 35 of 47 passes for 353 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Emmanuel Sanders (five receptions, 91 yards), Stefon Diggs (nine receptions, 89 yards, one touchdown), and Cole Beasley (seven receptions, 88 yards, one touchdown) all had big games too but they came up short in the end.
