Lakers Add Another Player From '20 Championship Team

VP of Basketball Ops and General Manager Rob Pelinka announced today the Lakers claimed guard Avery Bradley off waiver wires.

Bradley returns to Los Angeles in a limited role with a non-guaranteed contract for the 15th and final roster spot. The Lakers made the move with both Trevor Ariza (ankle) and Talen Horton-Tucker (thumb) being out with injury as the season starts tomorrow. Sources said, “If the Lakers do not waive Bradley before Jan. 7, 2022, his contract becomes guaranteed for the season” (NBCSports.com, 10/18).
