“Back To Square One”, Harden Out Indefinitely With Setback To Hamstring INjury

“Back To Square One”, Harden Out Indefinitely With Setback To Hamstring INjury

In the wake of the George Floyd verdict blanketed news of Brooklyn Nets star James Harden suffering a setback with his hamstring injury that will leave him out indefinitely.

Before yesterday’s game against the Pelicans, we got the statement from the Nets detailing how the star suffered the setback during a on-court rehab session. Harden initially suffered the strain to his hamstring during March 31st contest against the Rockets. He was out out for two games and tried to make his return April 5th against the Knicks but immediately felt discomfort and was ruled out for the remained of the game and was to be re-evaluated.

The timetable for Harden’s return is uncertain, but it seems as his recovery process has now started over in what was little over two weeks of him missing time.

"Really, I knew. I was at the workout but we didn't know until you have the scan. So I just found that news as well," said Nash. "Yeah, back to square one. We'll rehabilitate him and get him back whenever we can, and who knows when that will be.

The Nets have only had their trio of superstars in seven games this season. Though they are 20-6 with two out of the three this season, this is concerning news for this team. Durant’s latest injury scare toppled with this Harden news makes them down to solely Kyrie for the time-being who has an unlimited amount of personal time at his disposal. And with that goes their run at home court advantage all throughout the playoffs.

For a championship run that relies on talent more than chemistry, this will be a situation to monitor during this last month of the season. Health is the number one factor for a lot of teams but none more than this one. If they manage to win the title, this will be the team with the less time spent together.
