NFL Players created a  #WeWantToPlay hashtag on twitter to voice safety concerns for the upcoming season.

With Chiefs and Texans rookies reporting for training camp today, many NFL players don’t feel like they know enough about how this season is going to work.

The main concern of the players is safety for themselves and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic as they begin to return to work.

Many veteran players like Richard Sherman, JJ Watt, and Drew Brees voiced their displeasure with the NFL due to the league not adopting a plan yet that has been recommended by experts that the NFL itself hired.

Texans’ star Defensive End JJ Watt tweeted yesterday a list of what NFL players know and don’t know, leading into the first group of players that are set to report for camp today.

It seems like there is a huge disconnect between the NFL and its players and the concern for the safety of the players is growing as it gets closer to the time where all players will have to report for camp.

Each of the 32 NFL teams is required to send an Infectious Disease Emergency Response (IDER) plan to the NFL to be approved, yet with the first day of camp upon us for some teams, this still has yet to be completed for many.

It seems as if the NFL is running out of time, and a plan has to go into effect sooner than later.
