Crews wins US Title on Memorial Day "RAW"
After a six-year career in the WWE, Apollo Crews can now say he is a champion.

On the Memorial Day episode of RAW, Crews defeated Andrade to become the new United States Champion, his first with the company. After a great back and forth action between the two and interference from Zelina Vega, Crews hit a standing moonsault and shooting star press combo for the win.
It was a special moment for Crews who has been in the wrestling business for 11 years. He was overcome with emotion in his post-match interview. And WWE made the moment more special by having a somewhat audience with developmental talent serving as the crowd.
Crews’ victory over Andrade serves as payback for the former champion costing Crews his MITB opportunity after targeting his knee. WWE will likely continue this feud with a rematch at the next PPV Backlash.
