Warriors' Stephen Curry, Curry Brand announces 11th signature UA shoe

Warriors star Stephen Curry and his Curry Brand are releasing their 11th signature shoe with Under Armour, the first under his enhanced long-term extension with the brand.

The highly anticipated sneaker will be released globally Oct. 13 in its debut colorway, “Future Curry,” first reported by SBJ’s Na’Andre Emerson, sporting a futuristic design with new design technology that pushes boundaries in the sneaker space. As part of the extension he signed in March, Curry became president of Curry Brand where he was a part of driving new products and innovations. He was heavily involved in the design process for his new signature model, reviewing designs and sketches, as well as testing out samples, and ultimately deciding where to take the design. “For the Curry 11, we worked with Stephen to push boundaries with this shoe and make it more daring aesthetically,” said Curry Brand Senior Footwear Designer Edward Wallace. “Stephen was involved every step of the way, helping us reach an end product that we’re all extremely proud of.”

The “Future Curry” Curry 11 comes in a half-bootie futuristic model, similar to the previous Curry 10s, featuring a white and black upper that incorporates the textile-like UA Wrap that molds perfectly to the wearer’s foot for better performance. The upper sits atop, for the first time in the Curry catalog, a white dual density UA Flow midsole that provides ultimate comfort underneath the feet with a softer top-loaded piece. The sneaker also includes a segmented plate for stability throughout the midfoot and underfoot with more flexibility at the forefoot. The colorway is finished with teal accents throughout the midsole and shoestrings, with Curry’s logo on the tongue and outsoles as well as inside the shoe’s teal sole. Wallace said that future releases of the Curry 11s will incorporate beloved colorways as well as new ones that honor the moments that mean the most to Curry.

The “Future Curry” will be released alongside a new Curry 2 FloTro and a limited apparel line.
