Fox's Shannon Sharpe Blasts co-host Skip Bayless Over Damar Hamlin Tweet

The relationship between Fox Sports’ Undisputed co-hosts Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless have seemingly hit its breaking point, bringing into question the future of the hit show.

Following Bills S Damar Hamlin scary on-field injury Monday night, Sharpe was absent from Undisputed on Tuesday leaving Bayless to host the show by himself. Fans speculated it was due to Bayless’ controversial tweet from Monday night regarding Hamlin and the future of the Bills-Bengals game that many felt was insensitive for the situation.

Sharpe returned on Wednesday’s show and explained his decision to skip Tuesday’s show but almost immediately gets into with Bayless over the tweet:

Sharpe a few seconds into his opening monologue said, “Skip tweeted something and although I disagree with the tweet — and hopefully, Skip will take it down,” at which point Bayless interrupts and says, “Time out — I’m not going to take it down because I stand by what I tweeted.”

Visibly frustrated Sharpe retorts, “I cannot even get through a monologue without you interrupting.”

This isn’t the first time the co-hosts have come to blows, but lately it seems like the relationship has been strained — or at least impacted negatively — since the December 12th episode where Bayless all but disses Sharpe, his supposed friend, co-host, and colleague in favor of Buccaneers QB Tom Brady, who really has never acknowledge the 71-year-old.

Former NBAer Matt Barnes chimed into the situation, saying that Bayless has been stepping over the line lately with his takes and claims he has had talks with Sharpe about a NBA Player and coach wanting to beat up Bayless.

Following the intense altercation, the co-hosts moved on with the show with Sharpe showing true professionalism in dealing with a difficult co-worker.
