Super Bowl 53: Tale of the Tape and Final Predictions

The Fearless versus the Conqueror.
One of America’s best spectacle is here, Super Bowl 53 in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This season was filled with highs and lows with blown calls, but exciting exhibitions between some of the NFL’s best offenses. This long journey has finally commenced with the last two teams left: The New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams. Both titans went on the road in enemy territory and outlasted the competition to get the chance to reign supreme over the NFL. Here is the tale of the tape:
Sean McVay, age 33, is the youngest head coach to ever coach in the Super Bowl. 15 years young was his age when Tom Brady won his first SB in 2002. His fearlessness is his ultimate weapon as one of the young, bright minds in the league. He leads into battle the NFL’s best defensive player in the league and a top three player in the NFL, Aaron Donald. Him and a rejuvenated Donte Fowler and Ndamukong Suh will compete in the trenches against one of the NFL’s best offensive lines. They’re being backed by the duo of Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters, with Joyner out their playing safety – and defensive genius Wade Phillips as the defensive coordinator. Calling all the plays on offense is McVay with Jared Goff and Todd Gurley as his weapons. The receiving core of Woods, Higbee, and Cooks will surely try to make their impact in the game as well.
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick will make their third SB appearance…in four seasons. The 5-time SB champion Tom Brady will have this chance to prove his greatness yet again at age 41. The ageless man will have Gronk back at service after a dominating game against the Chiefs, along with Julian Edleman, Chris Hogan and dual threat James White. Running the ball is Sony Michel, who broke the NFL record for rushing TD’s by a rookie RB and a dark horse to win Super Bowl MVP. On the other side, a more experienced defense with veteran players. Van Noy and Dont’a Hightower make the line backing duo along with sacking specialist Trey Flowers and Malcom Brown on the D-line. Patrick Chung, Stephon Gilmore, and the McCourty brothers in the backfield rounds out this dominant defense.
Only one team will walk out Atlanta Super Bowl champions. Whether it be the Patriots or the Rams, this will make for a very good game. A Brady-led offense will have to survive Donald and crew as they will surely look to dominate at the line. Lets just hope their isn’t no controversy attached to this game after the Saints vs. Rams debacle.
In order for the Rams to win they must keep their foot on the gas, this is the Patriots, no lead is safe. Gurley’s health will surely be a factor in this game because you can book the Patriots being prepared for CJ Anderson and the havoc he’s been causing in the playoffs. Also, Goff will have to make those timed throws in tight windows like he has all playoffs because the Patriots feast on mistakes. Goff has played good and have shown he can produce in big moments so all he has to do is play within himself. And defensively they have to stop the run game on the other side. You must double Edelman as well, and get off the field on third down or you’re going to see Brady paint a masterpiece drive for a TD.
As for the Patriots, their offensive line has to be able to win at the line and give Brady time to operate. He only needs a few seconds as he averages 2.5 secs on each snap to throw as he will surely find his weapons if he’s stepping up cleanly in the pocket. If they’re able to dominate there and run the ball, then you will see a winning formula for the Patriots. Gronk must be a factor in this game and deliver with another performance - especially if it is his last too. Defensively they have to weather any big plays the Rams throw at them cause there will be some. Their front seven must get pressure on Goff and stoop the run and don’t let Gurley or Anderson get going. Put the game on Goff and force him to make plays against a spectacular secondary with lockdown corner Gilmore.
Final Prediction: Brady and Belichick will not lose two SB’s in a row and will win this game soundly. McVay and the Rams will have their moments in this game but the Patriots and their offensive line and run game will do whatever it takes to drain this game to the very end. Final score 30-23. Sony Michel/Tom Brady will be named Co-MVP’s.
