Breaking: Zion Williamson expected to miss weeks with knee injury

We will be without star rookie Zion Williamson at the start of the regular season due to a right knee injury.
Williamson suffered a right-knee injury in a pre-season game against the San Antonio Spurs on October 13th, sources told ESPN Adrian Woj. He avoided serious injury to his knee, but will be sidelined at the start of the season. He is currently suffering from right knee soreness and did not travel with the team to take on fellow Duke rookie R.J. Barrett in New York.
Williamson rookie debut have been the most talked-about debut since LeBron James back in 2002. Him missing a period of weeks will certainly be a disappointment after having such a good pre-season. But this is the best decision regarding his future and his health. The Pelicans are placing their whole future in him and don’t need to rush him back.
The Pelicans have a good cast of players on the team that still need to figure out their footing with the acquisition of the ‘baby Lakers.’ As the team builds chemistry, it will be easy for Williamson to be implemented into the offense.
This certainly a blow to NBA fans everywhere.
